First of, I think forever is just a word. I'm not saying it's not real. I mean, I think we only use this word to measure something that we feel. Like, when you want to be with someone for a very long time, so you will say "I will love you forever".
Forever is just as long as when you stop feeling it for a person, or when you die, then you will definitely won't feel anything. But there's eternity. Eternal love, eternal marriage. Ever heard of that? Instead of "Until death do us part", you are blessed with "Until eternity". It's when, even after death, your souls are still bound for each other until the next life and what's next after that. Isn't that more wonderful than "forever"?
Anyways, since our topic is about "forever", let me just say there's a lot of kinds of forever. There's "forever young", "forever alone", and the likes. However, these are also just feelings. Not true.
"Forever young". Seriously? We all know that people will get older. So there's no such thing, unless you die really young then you'll be forever young in the hearts and minds of those people who loved you.
"Forever alone". Okay, I think it's better if we say "forever single", 'cause if that's the case, it's believable. No one is forever alone. Every being has a soulmate but for those who are unfortunate to find their partners, they remain single for the rest of their lives. It's not bad at all, they're single but not alone. They have friends, family, dogs, cats, or whatever pet they have.
So, you see, forever is just a word. It's not wrong, it's not right - just a word.
If someone tells you "I will love you forever", be grateful. That person couldn't express how much he/she loves you so he uses the word "forever" to tell you that as long as he/she feels that "love", he will love you.
Let me hear your thoughts on this. Hey, I'm not saying I'm right. This is just my point of view. What about yours? (:
